Are you wanting to post a picture that is saved on your computer?

If so, use the Upload attachment bit just below the box in which you type your post. . .

N.B. . . . . If your pic is held on an Image Hosting site (e.g. Photobucket or Imageshack . . then see the thread entitled Posting Pictures - as URL from Photobucket etc

Here's how (instructions start from where you already have your message open ready to write) . . .

1 . . . . Click Browse... . . . . another box will open

2 . . . . Navigate to the folder in which the pic you want to use is saved.

3 . . . . Click on the pic to highlight.

4 . . . . Click Open . . . . The window will close.

5 . . . . Click Add the file (just below the Browse button)

6 . . . . Another box will open showing the picture is uploading. This box will automatically close once upload is complete.

7 . . . . The file name of the attachment will show in the Attachments: drop down box. (directly below the box in which you type your post, above the Upload attachment section).

8 . . . . You can either click Submit at this point as you usually would do ... this would position the pic at the end of the post.

OR

9 . . . . You can click Place inline (next to the Attachments: box) . . . This would then show the following code ...



... which can be cut and pasted to show where you want.

Then click Submit

10 . . . . Pic Posted!

Am i being especially dumb today, cause i dont see anything that says upload attatchment beneath where i type my post.

Can you see the Upload attachment section as shown in the screen shot below? (N.B. - You need to be posting a message at the time to be able to see it)

Hey Sam, thanks for all that, but where you`ve got upload attatchment, i`ve got a banner reading poll creation & a list of options to the left... so i dunno ma darling, will see if steve can figure it this weekend... he`s like you when it comes to p`uters

I'll take a look at your permissions this evening, it might be something my end, although they looked right at a glance.

Which section you trying it in?

You should now be able to add attachments in all the sections.

Bloody 3 hours thats taken me to fix!

Walter, I hope you don't mind, I've moved the picture of your painting the the Photo Gallery section. It will be more likely to be seen there.
