hi my name is josep,im from ibiza,balearic island,spain.i have cmt,since i was 25,now i was 43,i use afos and stick to walk,I have your typical symptoms, very high arches, slight hammer toes, and weakened arms and legs and For a few years the musculature of a lung, I need breathing represented to be able to sleep.at the moment only some pains treat me.

A few of us have breathing probs and not always recognised by medics as a problem of CMT.

Hi Josep, welcome to the forum. :wave: :bighug:

I had chronic asthma as a child to the point I was nebulised for several hours each day. Miraculously I grew out of this but still have some breathing difficulties now although I don't know whether my difficulties stem from the asthma as a child or whether it is CMT related.

My neurologist in a beginning(principle) also tell that my respiratory problem was not caused for cmt.pero in visit to another this(this one) neurologist I confirm that if that is caused for cmt, that affects the diafracma of the pulmon.desde a few years ago I use a bipap to breathe while I sleep.
